Andy's much awaited CD-Rom, A World Within, featuring Foden's Band and conducted by Michael Fowles, has been published.
It is the first of Andy's pieces as composer in residence of Foden's Band, and is dedicated to its president Peter Fletcher.

January 2010 saw the premiere of Andy's composition for saxophone & piano "Three Letter Word" at the South Bank in London.
Double Trouble CD by Foden's Band with James Gourlay, Les Neish and Tubalate was released at the RNCM Festival of Brass. This CD features music for Tuba by Andy Scott and Barbara Thompson. Andy's tuba pieces, "Salt of the Earth", "Bite the Bullet", and "Going Down" are superbly played on this CD by these accomplished tuba players.
Aquarelle Guitar Quartet will give the world premier of the groups first commissioned work, 'Seven Dances and No Looking Back' by Andy Scott on the 30th June at the RNCM when they will be giving a concert to launch the release of their second CD on the Chandos Label.
In 2010 Astute Music will be publishing a new series of latest compositions by Andy Scott, including works for brass band as recorded by Foden's on the World of Brass CD release 'A World Within' (4th September launch at the British Open at Symphony Hall, Birmingham.)

Andy rehearsing Concerto for Stan Getz by Richard Rodney Bennett for the composer's 70th Birthday Concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, with the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by John Wilson. Chester/Novello are due to publish a new Tenor Saxophone & Piano version of this concerto, edited by Andy & Peter Lawson.Read more...
